Imagine, a delicious late morning breakfast overlooking an expanse of a cool lake. Feeling the sunshine warming your face and your body rejuvenated from an amazing night’s sleep. Smiling with peace in your heart as an eagle drifts over the horizon. Surrounded by friends and loved ones with joy and laughter.

Now expand upon that vision to include your ideal health and wellness. How do you feel sitting on that porch in peak mental and physical condition? No aches or pains, only strength, flexibility and grace. Skin glowing, energy radiating, excitement building for a new day to dawn. Mentally, you feel as though you can tackle any obstacle that comes your way because you’ve built that core of resilience, while maintaining awareness when you need a minute to reflect, meditate, breathe, slow down, pull back.
If we can dream about luxury vacations on the Amalfi Coast of Italy or lounging on the tropical beaches of Bora Bora, why wouldn’t we consider dreaming about our health that way? Yet how many people ever dream about how they could feel on a journey to better health?
Let’s explore reverse engineering this vision! What baby steps or giant leaps did it take to get you there? Envision yourself doing those things, putting in the hard work and effort. What did that look like? Feel like? Taste like? Smell like? Imagine it’s already done. You are successful. The tiny habits were established until they are embedded into part of a core routine you could never live without.
Name one of those tiny habits! Is it preparing your meals so that grab and go takes on a healthier look? Is it lacing up those shoes to get out on that daily walk to help you feel energized and give you mental clarity? Is it carving out the time in your day to find 10 minutes to meditate so that the stress of the day doesn’t build from a hill to a mountain? Filling up that water bottle every morning to set you up for successful hydration?
Consistency.
Nothing fancy, nothing special. Just consistently adding more and more healthy behaviors and turning away from the unhealthy behaviors that don’t help you reach your ideal vision of health and wellness.
That is what health and wellness looks like. Consistently choosing yourself and your health over all the other noise. Since when were you the priority? More importantly, when did you stop dreaming? Today I encourage you to grab a pen and a piece of paper. Write it out. What’s the vision? What will it take to get you there? What do you need to learn? Who will you need by your side to support you?
If you don’t have anyone, then let that person be ME! I’d love to support you on your journey to better health and create a life your never even envisioned for yourself. I never said it was going to be easy, but I know it will be worth it!
